Sometimes I wonder why I try.

I am honestly trying to be positive but truthfully there is little to report.

I so wanted to see my little girl in The Pirates of Penzance last night. I saw half. I planned something special for today. I organised everything as well as I could. Fail.

I need a break. Will I ever manage one? Right now it feels like it will never happen.

Oh well hopefully things will be better one day.

Hi Suze, I have just popped over from seeing a comment you left on FQ's blog. Gee can you believe how high prices are:( It's been months since I have bought bananas, mind you we planted a banana this year in our front garden (he he). Hang in there, be kind to yourself, things do get better♥

Hi Suze,

I just read your comment on my blog and just wanted to say thank you for your encouragement.

I also wanted to encourage you in the journey you are on at the moment. I'm so terribly sorry to hear of the struggles you are facing. I will be praying for you and your family and hoping that there are better days ahead. The issue you raised regarding your youngest is at epidemic proportions it would seem. No doubt there are plenty of strategies to assist you, I hope that these will bring some resolution. Meredy xo

Hi came across you entry in froogal queen and thought I would drop you a line
I would sit down and think of what life was like then and is like now. You have like us all come a very long way. I won’t make a comment about bringing up children as I wasn’t blessed with any so not by area of expertise. Have you thought where clothing is concerned learning to turn collars and cuffs on clothing. Froogs did a post on making wash mitts and I use family wipes instead of loo roll. I always have a marg tub in the freezer and fill it with ANY scraps of meat and veg (keeping a separate one for cheese, rice and potato. From there you can make risottos/ savoury rice dished quiches and the like. Make detachable lining with an old blanket so summer weight curtains become winter weight. Draft excluders for the doorways, if not turn the hem into a wadded edge. If like me you can’t afford a very good soap powder at the mo I would soak what you have overnight in a bucket of bleach solution and then launder as you need to. Heck I know it sounds like I’m trying to teach you to suck eggs but when I started out it was the obvious things I forgot to do. My aunt would descend on old xmas cards keeping the backs for note paper by the phone and then cutting out name tag, followed by disc she would score and make into borbles for decorations if you want directions only too happy to share.would be willing to make some together suggestions about general life stuff cutting corners etc. take care Rachel

Suze,
I seen you commented when I left a comment at Down to Earth. Being a care-giver, mom, disabled, and a pillar are tasks that are almost impossible to handle, except that its a daily battle, some days you may win the war, other times, you loose the battle, retreat and then draw your lines in the sand...to win another.
Please keep me posted, and I will try as time provides, to stay posted to you.
Warm Regards from Nebraska, USA
